Persimmon Gelato
Today in the Little Chef kitchen, things are getting bright orange.
Theo discovered that when persimmons are super ripe and squishy, they turn into the creamiest gelato. Olive discovered that the freezer door opens very slowly when you’re waiting for dessert.
This persimmon gelato is made with just four simple ingredients - milk, cream, sugar, and ripe persimmons - and it’s the perfect recipe for little chefs who love pressing blender buttons and sneaking spoon tastes.
Ingredients
-
3-4 very ripe persimmons
-
1 cup milk
-
1 cup cream
-
½ cup sugar
Let’s Make It
Step 1:
Peel the persimmons and remove the tops.
Step 2:
Add the milk, cream, sugar and persimmons in a blender.
Blend until everything is creamy and combined.
Step 3:
Pour into an ice cream maker and churn until thick and gelato-like.
No ice cream maker? Freeze in a shallow container and stir every 30–40 minutes until creamy.
Step 4:
Scoop into bowls, and enjoy your homemade persimmon gelato.
From Theo and Olive’s kitchen to yours - happy cooking, Little Chefs!
